Frontend Engineer (Next.js / AI-Assisted Development)

About this role

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer who can independently build and maintain modern web applications with a strong focus on performance, SEO, usability, and engineering quality.

Our primary frontend stack is Next.js + TypeScript. You will work closely with Product, Design, Backend, and Marketing teams to turn product requirements and Figma designs into reliable, production-ready web experiences.

We also actively encourage the use of AI coding tools to improve development speed. We are looking for engineers who know how to use AI effectively for prototyping, implementation, debugging, refactoring, and code review — while still taking full ownership of code quality, architecture, security, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript
Build responsive, accessible, and production-ready interfaces based on Figma designs
Create and maintain reusable UI components using Material UI (MUI) and/or Tailwind CSS
Design maintainable component structures, state management, and frontend architecture
Integrate REST APIs and handle loading, error, authentication, and edge-case states
Select appropriate Next.js rendering strategies, including SSR, SSG, and ISR
Implement and maintain Technical SEO best practices
Improve website performance and Core Web Vitals
Support tracking implementation using Google Tag Manager (GTM) and GA4
Work with Marketing and Product teams to implement event and conversion tracking
Build and maintain consistent local development environments using Docker / Docker Compose
Participate in code reviews and maintain engineering standards
Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and Marketing stakeholders
Use AI coding tools to accelerate development without compromising code quality

Requirements

Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript
Solid experience with React and Next.js
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive web development
Experience with at least one modern UI / styling solution, such as Material UI (MUI) or Tailwind CSS
Ability to independently translate Figma designs into production-ready UI
Good understanding of reusable component design and maintainable frontend architecture
Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs
Familiarity with Git-based development workflows
Hands-on experience with Technical SEO, including metadata and Open Graph, semantic HTML, canonical URLs, sitemap and robots.txt, structured data / schema markup, SSR / SSG considerations for SEO, and Core Web Vitals.
Basic to intermediate hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager and GA4, including events, triggers, variables, and conversion tracking
Experience using Docker to create and maintain frontend development environments
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

AI-Assisted / Vibe Coding

More importantly, you should be able to evaluate AI-generated code and take responsibility for the final implementation.

This includes:

Understanding code before accepting or merging it
Verifying type safety and error handling
Identifying security and dependency risks
Avoiding unnecessary dependencies and over-engineering
Validating changes through linting, type checking, testing, and code review
Controlling the scope of AI-generated changes
Maintaining consistency with the existing codebase and architecture

Docker & Development Environment

You should be comfortable creating a reliable and repeatable local development environment, including:

Dockerfile
Docker Compose
Node.js runtime and package manager configuration
Environment variable management
Local and development environment configuration
Backend / API service integration
Volume and hot-reload setup
Development documentation and README setup

The goal is to ensure that developers can start the project quickly and work in a consistent environment with minimal setup friction.
